Privacy policy
What we collect, why, who sees it and how to get it deleted. Training information can say a lot about your health, so we treat all of it as sensitive.
1. The short version
- We collect what we need to coach you, and nothing for advertising.
- We don't sell your information or share it for targeted ads.
- Your coach sees your training information. A few staff see it to run support and billing. Companies that run parts of the service for us see what they need to do that job.
- You can see, correct, download or delete your information by emailing us, wherever you live.
2. This website
- No analytics, no advertising tags, no tracking pixels and no cookies.
- The quiz, the check-in demo and the coach calculator run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us.
- The forms on this site open an email in your own email app. We only get what you choose to send.
- Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles every request and keeps short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.
3. What members share
When memberships open, we'll collect:
- Account details: name, email, time zone, language, and the membership you chose.
- Payment details: handled by our payment processor. We see the card type, the last four digits and the expiry date, never the full number.
- Training information: the program you follow, your goal, schedule, equipment, the sets you log, check-in answers, sleep and soreness ratings, messages with your coach, and any form videos you send.
- Your nutrition profile, if you fill it in.
- Health information you choose to give: injuries, pain, conditions, medications that affect exercise, pregnancy, and your readiness-screen answers.
We use it to write and adjust your plan, run your membership and billing, answer you, keep the service safe, and meet legal duties such as tax records. We may email you about your membership. Anything else, like news about Raw Days, only with your consent, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.
4. Health information
The Raw Days app is our own, so your training data is stored by us and our hosting provider, not by another app company. Raw Days isn't a healthcare provider or a health plan, so the US health privacy law HIPAA doesn't cover us. We handle your health information carefully anyway:
- We ask for it only when coaching needs it, and ask your consent before you give it.
- It's used only to coach you safely. Never for advertising, never sold.
- Only your coach and the staff who need it for support can see it.
- Some states, such as Washington and Nevada, give extra rights over consumer health data. We give those rights to every member.
5. Who sees it
- Your coach, if you're a Coached or Coached Plus member, to coach you. Program members' logs are not read by a coach. Coaches agree in writing to keep members' information private and to use it only through Raw Days.
- Raw Days staff who handle support, billing and safety.
- Service providers who run parts of the service for us under contract: the payment processor, email, hosting for the Raw Days app and site and, for coach applicants only, a background-check company. We'll list them by name here before launch.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm.
- If Raw Days is sold or merged, your information moves with it under this policy, and we'll tell you first.
6. How long we keep it
While you're a member, and for 12 months after your membership ends, in case you come back. Then we delete it or strip it of anything that identifies you. Billing records are kept for 7 years for tax purposes. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live in the US, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy you can take elsewhere;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete it, except what we must keep by law;
- stop sending you marketing email.
California's privacy law (CCPA) applies to larger businesses than Raw Days, but we give the same rights to everyone. Email contact@rawdays.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We'll confirm it's you and answer within 30 days. You won't be charged or treated differently for asking.
8. Security and breaches
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people listed above, and accounts use strong sign-in. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach exposes your health information, we'll tell you without unreasonable delay and within 60 days, as the FTC's Health Breach Notification Rule requires, and tell the FTC where the rule says to.
9. Coach applicants
If you apply to coach, we use your application, certification, insurance and background-check result to decide on your application and, if you join, to manage your agreement and payouts (including your W-9). Background checks are only run with your written consent, and you get a copy. If you're not accepted, we delete your application after 12 months.
10. Children
Raw Days is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email members before it applies and update the date at the top. Questions: contact@rawdays.com.
