Coach terms and conduct
What coaches agree to when they join Raw Days, and the conduct members can expect. Members can read this too: it's what you can hold your coach to.
Agreement summary
1. The relationship
Coaches are independent contractors, not employees. You decide when and where you work and how you coach, within the reply standards and scope rules below. You're responsible for your own taxes; we collect a W-9 and issue a 1099-NEC where the IRS requires it. You can coach elsewhere.
2. Pay and payouts
- 60% of fees collected from your Coached and Coached Plus members. (Program memberships are self-guided; no coach is paid from them.)
- Worked out on what the member actually paid, after any discount. Raw Days pays card fees, runs the Raw Days app and handles sales tax.
- Paid monthly by direct deposit on the 15th, for the previous month, with a statement listing every member.
- If we refund a member's first payment under the 30-day policy, your share for that month is still paid. Chargebacks for fraud are deducted only if you were at fault.
3. Members and caps
- Members choose you from a shortlist. We don't assign members without their choice.
- Up to 30 client units (Coached 1, Coached Plus 1.5); 15 units in your first 60 days. You can set a lower cap at any time.
- Members can switch coach whenever they like. When they do, you write a short handover note.
4. Standards
- Check-in replies within 24 hours; messages within one business day; form videos within two business days.
- Away more than three days: tell us a week ahead so we can arrange cover.
- All coaching happens in the Raw Days app, so members have one record and we can help if something goes wrong.
- We read a sample of check-in replies each month and talk to you if something needs to change.
5. Credentials and insurance
You keep your certification (or qualifying degree), adult CPR/AED and professional liability insurance current, send us proof when they renew, and tell us within 5 days if any lapses or a complaint is made against you elsewhere. Coaching stops if they lapse until they're renewed.
6. Privacy
Member information is confidential. You use it only to coach that member through Raw Days, don't copy it out of the app, don't share it, and delete anything you hold outside the app when the member leaves you. You tell us straight away if you think member information has been exposed.
7. Your work and ours
Your methods, writing and private clients stay yours. You let Raw Days use the plans and replies you write for Raw Days members to run the service and keep members' records. You don't move Raw Days members to private coaching while you coach with us or for 6 months after.
8. Leaving
Either side can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, so members can choose a new coach. Either side can end it straight away for a serious breach, including a breach of the code of conduct. You're paid your share for every month you coached.
Code of conduct
Every Raw Days coach agrees to this. Members can use it to judge us.
Stay in your lane
- Don't diagnose or treat injuries or medical conditions. Train around pain and refer the member to a doctor or physical therapist.
- Don't write meal plans for medical conditions, or call yourself a dietitian or nutritionist, unless you hold that licence. General guidance on eating and training is fine.
- If a member describes warning signs (chest pain, fainting, signs of an eating disorder, thoughts of self-harm), tell them to get help now, give them the right number (911, or 988 for a mental-health crisis), and tell Raw Days.
Be honest
- Your profile shows only credentials you hold and experience you have.
- Don't promise results, and don't post a member's photos, numbers or words without their written permission.
- Don't sell or push supplements, products or other services to members, and don't earn commission on anything you recommend to them.
Respect the member
- No comments about a member's body beyond what training needs, and never in a mocking or shaming way.
- No romantic or sexual contact or messages with a member. No contact outside the app unless the member asks for a call through the app.
- No discrimination or harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, size or anything else.
- Respect "no", and respect the member's choices about their own training.
Members' part
Members agree to treat coaches with the same respect, give honest information about their health, and not ask coaches to work outside the app or outside their scope.
Reporting a concern
Coaches, members and anyone else can report a concern to contact@rawdays.com with "Conduct report" in the subject. We reply within two business days, look into every report, and tell you what we did. Members can switch coach straight away while we do. If someone is in danger, call 911 first.
